On Saturday, a traditional chief and his two sons were arrested by the Nigeria Police Force's Yobe State command for the alleged murder of Goni Waje in Dako Kangarwa village, Yunusari Local Government Area.
In a statement released in Damaturu, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, the command's spokesperson, referred to the suspects as Jalomi, Ciroma, and Bulama.
He said that on June 7, the three people accused Mr. Waje of having an affair with the wife of Mr. Bulama, the local chief and father of Jalomi and Ciroma. Mr. Bulama was the one who was killed.
The eyewitness account states that Alhaji Jalomi and Ciroma used a cutlass to match the deceased and then burned him to death.
According to Abdulkarim, "the incident began as narrated, the incident led to the deceased using a knife to inflict injury on the father of the suspects."
He added that Bulama in this way trained his youngsters to pursue Mr Waje, which they did by consuming him to death.
After the incident, according to Abdulkarim, the three suspects turned themselves in to the Yunusari Divisional Police Station.
"While Bulama was tracking down ways of treating himself from the injury, he had no choice except for to include the police during the time spent examination.
The victim was arrested at the Yunusari Police Division after he emerged as the accused.
"Thusly, the culprits of the grievous offense revealed themselves to the Yunusari Division after the capture of their dad," he said.
According to Abdulkarim, the three suspects were handed over to the department of criminal investigation for additional investigation.
According to the spokesperson, Mr. Waje's body was deposited at the Damaturu Specialists Hospital.
